Hypnosis Tips for Working with Clients

There are a lot of hypnotists out there who go out and get certified, start working with clients and wonder why their success rate aren’t what they should be. They take these little 3 day courses and think they are qualified to start using Hypnosis to work with clients.

Okay, so you may be able to work with a client and get a little success rate here and there. Now, do you know why you aren’t getting the success you should with clients? Hmmm, could it do with the fact that you didn’t get the proper training or maybe even the proper foundations of hypnosis taught to you. Yes, you can learn a lot of great stuff in a 3 day period, but you can’t learn all the basics needed to become successful.

Now, you can learn the very basics within 3 days or even learn how to work with a particular situation, but to get the type of success you want with your clients.  So I decided to give all of you a few solid Hypnosis Tips to help you get a better success rate with your clients. So here are a few hypnosis tips you should all take note of:

  • When your working with a client make sure to always give them a Pre-talk. The Hypnosis Pre-talk is actually the most important part of a hypnosis session. The pre-talk is where you sit down with the client for about 10-15 min and explain hypnosis to the client. You basically address any fears or questions the client may have. This is highly important because if a person has fear of Hypnosis than they won’t enter hypnosis or won’t get to the  level, stage or depth of hypnosis needed for you to do the work.
  • Many Hypnotist continue to use nothing but progressive relaxation inductions for every single client. Now, a progressive relaxation induction can serve a purpose and do well with clients that need that type of induction. I like to think of the skills we use as a toolbox and within that toolbox we have many different tools. A great teacher by the name of Gerald Kein taught me this. We need to match the Hypnosis Inductions we use to the clients we see. For instance, if the client has a very busy mind or is very analytical than you WOULD NOT use a progressive relaxation hypnosis induction. You would use a Rapid Induction or Instant Induction. They are so fast that they don’t give the client a chance to think about them, thus bypassing the busy mind.
  • Many hypnotist work with clients the moment they enter hypnosis and start going to work. I have found this model of hypnosis to be flawed. So please keep this Hypnosis Tip in mind. In my opinion and the opinion of many of the other greats. I will NEVER work with any client unless I can get them into somnambulism, which I get pretty much every time. It’s easy to get when you are trained in how to get somnambulism. What is Somnambulism? It’s a very deep and profound state of Hypnosis where suggestions become 10x more powerful and you have access to other tools such as Regression and more. One of the simplest ways to reach this depth of hypnosis is a amazing rapid induction called the Elman Induction.
