Hey Jon,

Always fun to have you hear and would love for you to guest blog again. I have always wondered what it would be like to work with people at their homes. How does that work for you most of the time? Do you record the session for safety? Just curious my friend.

Yes, it can be a problem. You just never know when or what sound might pop up! I try to be as creative as I can in these situations.

If for example a plane flies ahead, I may say something like "lAs the plane flies above you, so your mind also travels to exotic relaxing places"

I may also suggest that in a "strange and contradictory way, these sounds serve to relax you, deeper and deeper. And you know that as you GO DEEPER and deeper relaxed, the sound of my voice will travel with you"

These seem to work for me. The biggest problem I have experienced is family members being noisey when I do home visits. I usually let them shout at the family member, then continue the session where I left off with a little mini deepener, and give suggestions that they will become deeper relaxed than before!

Hope this helps.
