"How sad it is to think that someone could live a happier, and sometimes, healthier life, but never will because someone jumped into a conversation one evening and proceeded to convince everyone in the room that hypnosis was a cult or black magic and they should avoid it like the plague!"

This is exactly the problem. I have seen countless alcoholics that could have been helped tremendously with hypnosis but because of ignorant people throwing out a negative opinion about something they do not know these people get stuck with 12 step programs that have about a 3% success rate.

Fortunately since I use to be a reformed theologian it would be a total impossibility for me to lose a religious debate since I know the bible better them most ministers do.

You absolutely right we need to take a stand for hypnosis against the ignorant and opinionated for the sake of people who can be helped by hypnosis.

I have been dealing with this type of discrimination a lot lately since I come from an extremely religious family but I will now allow anyone to talk bad about hypnosis since I can honestly say that hypnosis has helped pull me out of the gutter and into a very hopeful life.
