It’s a controversial area of hypnosis, this idea of traveling back in our minds to previous lifetimes. I find it fascinating, yet I’m also something of a skeptic. There are those who swear by it and those who swear about it! Many people who are otherwise great proponents of hypnosis, will state that past life regression is utter nonsense, only practiced by quacks. On the other hand, there are undoubtedly many people who have used past life regression to successfully heal issues in their current lives.

So is it real? When you take a client back in time to visit previous incarnations, are they really remembering things from a past life? Is their imagination just making stuff up? And how much does it matter which is really the case?

I love thinking about this stuff and having discussions about it. You can usually get a really good debate going if you lob this into a conversation, although it can get a bit heated if you have people who feel really strongly one way or the other.

The evidence for past life regression is mainly anecdotal. The problem is that, in spite of what many people think, and some high profile (and what I consider rather dubious) cases of re-incarnated Cleopatra’s and Priests from the lost city of Atlantis, most clients in regression remember previous lives that are of very little significance to the time that they were set in. Very few people remember being well known figures of history. And of course the details of ordinary people are not well documented in the records of the time, making it difficult to confirm or refute the information that a client recalls in such a session. So we’re left to ponder over whether Mary the scullery maid in a fairly ordinary household somewhere in England ever really existed.

Also, in regression we rarely ask for or hear specific historical details. The purpose of regression is usually linked to current emotional and psychological issues the client is trying to resolve. So in fact it’s usually powerful emotions that people experience in these regressions, rather than detailed recollections that would be useful for verification purposes.

So perhaps our imagination just makes things up for us, when we go into past lives. Let’s say a client has an unexplained fear of water which they would like to overcome so they can enjoy boat trips with their family. In a past life regression, they “discover” that as a child in one of their previous lives they were playing on a river bank, tripped and slipped into the river. They couldn’t swim (as most people couldn’t in the past), and drowned. Often simply discovering the root cause of fear can diminish it dramatically. So the client leaves, feeling much more positive. They feel they now know where their fear comes from, so they naturally feel more in control of it. They know that so long as they learn to swim, there’s no longer any reason to be afraid of being in or on the water.

So does it matter whether their imagination pulled that “past life” out of nowhere, or whether that really is the root of their fear? Personally, I don’t think it does. Our unconscious minds are incredibly resourceful and creative and can help us to access our natural wisdom. So if that unconscious mind creates a metaphor, wrapping it up in a personal story from an imaginary past, who cares so long as it brings about healing and allows the individual to move forward in a positive way! And who are we to judge if the client involved is totally convinced that they have visited a real memory or not?

Perhaps one day we’ll know for certain whether past life memories are real or imagined. My own experiences of being regressed I found intriguing. It leaves me feeling open-mindedly sceptical if that’s not an oxy-moron! It also leaves me with mixed feelings if a client asks if I do past life regressions – am I being professional if I offer this service that many people find genuinely helpful, or am I colluding in promoting a delusional fantasy? Definitely food for thought.

I’d love to know what you, my readers, think on this controversial topic. So do please write in or use the comment box below.

A few weeks ago I ask everyone on my mailing list what they wanted to learn about and I got a overwhelming response. The topics ranged from Conversational Hypnosis, Suggestion Formation and even how to build rapport, but the number one topic people wanted me to blog more about was the Infamous Rapid and Instant Hypnosis Induction.

It’s didn’t really surprise me as Rapid and Instant Inductions are one of the most powerful tools a Hypnotist can know. They look cool, work fast and get your clients to the necessary level we want to work with them at which is Somnambulism. Since this is one of the most requested topics I plan on doing a series of post on these types of hypnosis inductions. I’ve already began working on a couple, but I’m currently working on a few projects outside of the hypnosis business which are eating up all my time.

Click Here To Watch The Physiology Behind Instant Inductions Video

So in the meantime while I’m working to clear up my schedule I thought I would post a really amazing video from my friend and fellow Hypnotist, Taylor Sherman. A few years ago Taylor and I released a Instant and Rapid Induction Home Study Course called Tranced Out. We only offered Tranced Out for a limited time for a number of reasons and within one week we completely sold out. I’m pretty sure most of you remember when Taylor and I did the launch for Tranced Out because we posted some really great content.

One of the pieces of content we posted on the Product Launch Blog for Tranced Out was an amazing video by Taylor where he breaks down the The Physiology Behind Instant Inductions.

Click Here Or The Image of The Video To View The Real Video

If you ever wondered why the rapid or instant Hypnosis Induction works the way they work then this post is for you. Now I’m aware some of you may have seen this video, but over the years I’ve got a lot more readers who haven’t seen the video. I think this video could be helpful for those and even those who may have seen it a while back, but have forgotten for whatever reason.

I’ve got to run, but I’ll be back soon with a number of new post and material. Just bear with me as I get caught up with work. Oh, before I go please make sure you check out Taylor’s official hypnosis website below.

Washington DC Hypnosis

If you’re truly serious about learning to master these Instant and Rapid Inductions I highly recommend you seek out either a live training event or a well produced Training DVD. It is possible to learn these techniques without formal training, but you will save yourself a lot of time and trouble by going the route I recommend.

Out of all the training DVDs I have the best by far is Sean Michael Andrews Instant and Rapid Induction Second Edition DVD Set. I personally own this and have learn a lot from it. Sean is a good friend, but also an amazing teacher. So if you do decide to go the formal training route you won’t go wrong with this investment. All you have to do is click the link below to be taken to Sean official website for this training product.

Note: The following link is an affiliate link and if you do decide to make an investment in your training you will be supporting Whats On My Brain and you have my sincere thanks. As always I like to be upfront with everything I do as I truly believe you all deserve it.

I just love doing Inner Child Work, both with clients and on myself. It’s fascinating and amazingly effective. In my last article, we looked briefly at the concept of the inner child, and today I want to give you an idea of the work we hypnotists can do to resolve some of the issues and problems that can stem from the “wounded child” that we all carry around inside of us. As always, a little article like this just can’t do justice to the subject, but I hope I can give you enough of an insight into it to make you want to find out more!

The whole idea of inner child work is to heal the wounded inner child that feels they weren’t loved enough. At the same time, we want to encourage and release the positive aspects of the child – spontaneity, and a sense of fun and wonder that helps us to love life and grab opportunities that come our way. Other forms of therapy successfully carry out inner child work, but it can take a lot of time and discussion, and digging around in the past, working through issues from early childhood. Hypnosis on the other hand, is a fantastic tool that can shortcut the whole process, bringing about dramatic change in just one or two sessions.

So what do we do?

We make use of a combination of visualization and memory. Having induced an hypnotic state, the idea is to go back in trance to when we were about 5 years old. This is roughly the time when most of us come to the realization that the world doesn’t revolve around us. The unconscious mind will know what point to lock onto, so there’s no need to pinpoint exactly what age the client should be homing in on.

In most cases I like to take the client back to the home they lived in at that time. They’re asked to imagine they’re standing in the street outside, looking at their old home. As always, engaging all the senses in the visualization helps to make it very real and effective. So taking a little time to establish what they can see, hear, feel will reap rewards and often helps to deepen the level of trance.

The next part of the session will look something like this:

In a moment I’ll ask you to make your way to the front door of the house, noticing all sorts of details as you approach it. You’ll find that the door is unlocked, and you’ll go into the house and make your way through the rooms. Somewhere, you’ll come across your inner child, the “you” from that time.

You might find your child right away, or it might take some time to discover where they are. They might be right there waiting for you when you enter, or they might be hiding themselves away. While you’re looking for them you may notice significant details about the house that have meaning for you. Note these details so you can remember and think about them later.

When you find your child, just raise the finger on your right hand as we discussed, to signal that you’re with them.

So now, walk up to that door and enter the house…

People usually find it fascinating when they do this exercise, because they often recall small details about their early home that they had completely forgotten about. Even if they’re still living in the same house, things change over the years, and they’ll frequently remember little ways in which the house was different back then, whether it’s the detail of a particular wall paper, or the lay out of furniture, or a picture that no longer hangs on the wall.

The idea now, having found that wounded child (they’re often sad and quiet in this first visualized “meeting”, or sullen and angry) is to reassure them that this adult version of themselves has come back to take care of them, to love them and comfort them, to cherish them and give them whatever is missing in their life. You’re basically offering that wounded child exactly what they’re been looking for all these years – the pure, indulgent, unquestioning and unconditional love that couldn’t be theirs in the real world. But we can give this to the inner child because in our inner world we can visualize whatever we need.

If they were desperate for a puppy or a new bike, we can give it to them. If they wanted a room of their own to get away from the mad crush and noise of siblings, or a visit to a theme park we can create that for them. In fact, it’s usual to give the child a gift of some kind. Sometimes people have a clear idea before hand of what they’re going to give the child, but often it’s a spur of the moment decision, or something just “appears” in the visualization which may surprise the client but will be entirely appropriate when they think about it later.

A little time is given to let the client ask whatever questions they want to ask of the child, or vice versa, and for them to discuss whatever they need to discuss, before the client holds the child close and reminds them that they are always a part of them, carried inside them forever, and that they’ll always be loved and cared for. Then it’s time to leave.

We can teach the client how to easily “revisit” the child regularly in just a few minutes a week, or on an ad hoc basis.

What we really do in inner child work is “re-parent” the wounded child. That child sub-personality has been stuck, locked in an unhappy struggle to change the way things were, to re-play history until he or she gets what they wanted or needed. By giving them what they want and need in fantasy (and remember, the unconscious mind can’t distinguish between reality and something we vividly imagine), we can release the old, destructive patterns and insecurities, and move forward in a way that’s positive and appropriate to the adults we have now become.

One caveat I need to add before finishing today. This is a very quick, rough and ready look at the basics of inner child work. What I’ve written above probably sounds warm and fuzzy and kinda sweet… the reality is that if there’s been abuse and trauma in early childhood, this first “visit” to the world of the inner child can be disturbing and distressing. The child may want to have nothing to do with the adult, or the adult may find their inner child repulsive, disgusting or pathetic.

In cases like this, I’ll often set up the “meeting” with the inner child to take place on neutral ground – perhaps a beautiful garden, rather than in the home where the trauma or abuse was experienced. We can get there if it seems necessary in later sessions. In these cases, you may have to work over a longer period and with more “visits”, but the rewards will be even more profound and satisfying.

In short, everyone can benefit from paying some attention to that inner child. I urge you to look into this area in more depth. Both you and your future clients will be glad you did!

The Inner Child – it’s a concept that’s been around a pretty long time now, with its roots in Jung and even Freud. It’s also a concept that clinical hypnotists frequently work with, as it fits so well with hypnotism.

As a practicing hypnotist, you would be expected to be able to offer inner child work where appropriate, so let’s take a brief look at what or who the inner child is, and its relevance to clinical hypnosis.

First of all, I want to be clear that not everyone subscribes to the idea of the Inner child, and inner child work, although very popular and generally accepted in psychological circles definitely has its critics. But then so does hypnosis in general! For the purpose of writing this article it’ll make life much easier if I don’t have to keep saying things like, “Proponents of Inner Child work believe…” As it happens, I’ve had a lot of success with inner child work, and I love using it with clients, so I guess I’m pretty much a convert. Besides, if it gets results, why knock it?!

Maybe in another article I’ll look at the criticisms of inner child work (it’s useful to know what they are, if for no other reason than to be prepared for those who will say it’s all rubbish) but for now, I simply want to give a brief over view of the concept.

Where Does Inner Child Work Come From?

Inner Child work has different guises in many different branches of psychology, including Transactional Analysis, Gestalt therapy, psycho-analysis, psycho-synthesis and clinical hypnosis, but they all, in their own way, say the same thing… that we have many different selves within us; different sub-personalities, many of which have their roots in a developmental stage from our past. And at any one time, the way we behave, feel and react to life is dictated by which of those sub-personalities is in control.

This isn’t a form of neurosis or psychosis, it’s perfectly normal! And when the positive aspects of those sub-personalities are freed up it can even be very healthy! Each of these sub-personalities has its own beliefs, attitudes and, most importantly, hidden agendas. For many of us, particularly when pressure mounts, it’s our child-self which comes to the fore, and that’s not always the best person to be in charge! We all recognize that feeling of insecurity, don’t we, where underneath the brave front we feel like five year old just waiting for our cover to be blown?

We’re Children For Life

We’re all born with a natural tendency to be open, inquisitive, playful and full of wonder. Some people say this is naturally how we are, our “true self”. This child-personality remains a part of our psyche for life, and has some very positive characteristics which emerge in a sense of fun, creativity and spontaneity, if we allow it to.

However, our early childhood experiences have a major impact upon us. By the age of 5 or 6, this “divine child” as Jung referred to it has been replaced by the “wounded child”. This is when we realize to our horror that the universe does not revolve around us. That it’s not enough to simply be ourselves. To be loved by our parents we have to conform, be “good” (or quiet, or aggressive – whatever our particular family dynamic emphasizes).

So no matter how good, kind, loving and supportive our parents were, as far as our “child” is concerned, we clearly were not loved enough. And of course, if our parents were abusive or neglectful, then the damage goes much deeper.

It is this “wounded child”, unconsciously carried around with us, angry, confused, frightened, insecure and manipulative, that is seen as the source of many of our difficulties as adults. That wounded child is frozen in time, influencing our behavior and decisions as it tries to re-write history and secure the unconditional love and approval it desperately wants. Until we deal with the unresolved issues of early childhood, and satisfy the needs of our child-self, it’s difficult to move forward as healthy, balanced, mature adults.

The Inner Child Part 2 Is Coming Soon

Psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and counseling all tend to spend a great deal of time rooting around in childhood memories, working and re-working the issues. They certainly have their place, and can be very valuable. But one of the joys of being a hypnotist is that we can work directly with the unconscious mind, where these different sub-personalities “live”. We can quickly and effectively work with this wounded child to bring about rapid, life-changing results.

Just how we go about working with the Inner Child in hypnosis will be the subject of my next article, so I hope you’ll come back to take a look.

It’s generally seen as good practice to add a 20 minute slot to the appointment when someone is coming to see you for the first time, so you can carry out a pre-hypnosis interview. I’m not talking about the pre-talk, here, although you may end up incorporating that into the pre hypnosis interview too if all goes well. What I’m talking about is the first time you and your client meet, ready for their first hypnosis session with you.

“But Josh,” I hear you say (well, you might not be saying it, but humor me please!). “What about street hypnotists and stage hypnotists? They don’t carry out a whole interview with people before hypnotizing them, and that seems to work just fine for them. Why should we bother?”

OK, you’ve got a point I suppose, and the fact is that nine times out of ten you might get by without the pre-hypnosis interview. But what I’d ask is, do you really want to use hypnosis to help people? Do you really want to maximize your (and their) chances of success? Do you want to go into your hypnosis session with them, confident that you’ve got a plan that will get the very best out of the session for both of you?

I’m hoping your answer would be, “Yes Josh” on all counts. In which case, I’d really urge you to take the pre-hypnosis interview seriously. Let’s look at 10 reasons why it’s a good idea:

It gives a professional image. It makes it clear you’re viewing the client as a unique individual, rather than just the next person on the conveyor belt, and this will increase their confidence in you.

You can get a clear picture of any previous experiences they’ve had with other hypnotists (clinical or otherwise) and ensures you can utilize anything that’s been particularly effective for them in the past, and avoid anything that’s been irritating, uncomfortable or ineffective.

You can use the interview to check for any underlying medical issues they might have. This can be useful in ensuring you don’t do anything to aggravate an existing complaint, and also gives you the opportunity to suggest they seek medical attention (e.g. when someone wants you to help them with chronic pain, but they haven’t seen a physician to get the underlying cause of the pain diagnosed).

It’s during the pre-hypnosis interview that you would check you’ve got the right contact information for them (useful for follow ups), including next of kin. I know, I know! It’s really unlikely to happen, but they might just decide to collapse with a heart attack as they’re leaving your practice. Now ok, we all know that calling for an ambulance is a good move at this point, but your client would likely prefer to have somebody they know with them or meeting them at the hospital, and when they’re lying unconscious on the floor it’s a bit late to be asking them who they want you to call and what the number is!

It’s useful to check for phobias or even things they just don’t like very much – water, elevators, boats, particular animals, their parents (!). You can be sure to avoid these things in any visualization you decide to use.

It gives both of you a little time to calm nerves and establish a rapport. Especially if you’re just starting out, you might find you’re just as nervous as your clients on those first meetings! Having a structure to discuss some practical things pleasantly before getting down to business helps break the ice and lets you both relax.

It allows you to discuss exactly what your client’s hoping to achieve, which helps you really tailor your session for them, and also lets you do a reality check if necessary.

I’m not saying you should, but some hypnotists offer to carry out an initial interview for free. This allows you, amongst other things, to assess the client and decide whether you’re happy to work with them. It gives the client the opportunity to decide, without having parted with any cash, that perhaps this isn’t right for them right now… or if they just don’t like the look of you, they have an opportunity to say, “I don’t think I’ll bother thanks very much!” It’s only 20 minutes of your time. You’ll almost certainly be fine working with virtually any one who comes to see you, but it’s good to have a “get out” clause with no commitment from either side and no offense given or taken.

A very boring but important reason for carrying out an initial pre-hypnosis interview is to make sure you cover yourself in the highly unlikely event of anything going wrong. It may be unlikely, but it has been known for people to have heart attacks, strokes, even diabetic seizures while in hypnosis, albeit completely unrelated to the hypnosis. I’m assuming you’ve got professional indemnity insurance if you’ve actually set yourself up in practice. So if somebody decided to investigate the circumstances, with a view to suing you, your notes from the initial interview would show that you gathered all relevant information from your client, and took all reasonable precautions before deciding on your therapeutic interventions. Your insurers will like you!

A good pre-hypnosis interview will give you lots of material you can use in the following session (and future ones if the client’s seeing you about longer term issues). Whether it’s details about their current smoking habits, or leisure pursuits they’re passionate about and wish they had more time for, or their relationship with their teenage son, it’s all useful stuff you can tune into and utilize.

So please, get a good format worked out for a useful pre-hypnosis interview that works for you, and make the most of this important useful tool with all your new clients. If you would like more hypnosis training articles like this one just let me know.

Over the last month or so you may have noticed a lot of post on this hypnosis blog around the subject of building your business, marketing, getting new clients and so on. If you’ve been a long time reader of my blog then you know I’ve always enjoyed the subjects of business, entrepreneurship and marketing.

I’ve always been a very strong believer that anyone who owns or runs a hypnosis practice should have or at the very least learn more about these subjects. Understanding them can make the difference between being a full time, successful Hypnotist and being a part time Hypnotist who barely makes a living doing what they love or not being in business at all.

I’ve talked about these subjects before and I’m sure some of you wondered why? I may have even lost some readers who thought this blog was only going to be about techniques. Don’t get me wrong as I believe having a very strong foundation of training is highly important, but good training can only take you so far, especially if you plan to open up your own hypnosis practice.

Click Here To Visit The Hypnosis Business Coaching Home Study Program

Age Regression, Direct Suggestion, Forgiveness Work, Rapid Inductions, Instant Inductions & Parts Work are all great things to know and are useful in helping the client, but have nothing to do with getting prospects to call you and clients to enter your door.

Is It Just A Dream?

Tell me if the following sounds familiar to you in any way. You went to a training, spend a lot of money and time, learned all the newest techniques, received your certification and came out of class pumped, ready to start your own hypnosis practice, help people and make a lot of money. You’ve come out of this hypnosis training with dreams of leaving your day job, dreams of helping people to overcome their problems and dreams of creating a rewarding financial future.

You buy a nice recliner chair, find a decent office, open your door for business and then….NOTHING! You wait, you wait and maybe you get a client, maybe you get two clients, but in the end you barely make any money, you start to question yourself, your training and eventually have to close up shop, go part time or quit and work a normal job again. Does this sound familiar to you? It should as this is the reality for many Hypnotists.

We get lost in the dreams of success when the reality of the situation is the moment you decided to open up a hypnosis practice you became a business owner instead of a Hypnotist.

This Isn’t The Way It Should Be

The example above is a sad one and the truth of the situation is that because the average Hypnotist doesn’t realize or understand that you have to be more then a hypnotist to be successful in this business. This illusion that all you have to do is start a practice and open your door for business is killing our profession. Most Hypnotists are either Hobbyist or working part time and it’s not because they want to. It’s because they just aren’t receiving enough business to keep things going full time. This really concerns me and it should concern you because someone who is doing hypnosis as a hobby or working part time, struggling to barely make ends meet.

As Hypnotists we have an amazing toolbox of skills which can help people change their lives and yet most hypnotist can barely make a living. This isn’t the way it should be.

Why Are Some Hypnotists More Successful Then Others?

Why are Hypnotists like Tom Nicoli, Jerry Kein, Cal Banyan, John Weir, Matt Sison, myself and a few others able to make full time income, get featured on the news, television, newspapers and so on and be branded as the obvious expert in their area? Could it be their location? Is it where we received our training?

Why do you know names such as Tom Nicoli and others? It’s because they are considered experts in their field which is a direct result of their branding and marketing efforts. It’s not magic. We just understand that if you don’t tell anyone what you do then how will they find you and come to your office? To be successful you must market yourself as the expert.

The biggest lie ever sold to us is that all we need to do is know how to hypnotize someone. I’m sure like most people you never went to business school or went after a degree in marketing. Most Hypnotists have never even read a book on business, entrepreneurship or marketing. The real question is how do we learn what we need to know to become successful Hypnotists? Well…the answer is being brought to us by someone you may know who goes by the name of John Weir!

Who Is John Weir?

If you’ve been doing hypnosis for a while or belong to the National Guild of Hypnotists then I’m sure you’ve heard of John. He’s the new face of hypnosis. He’s young, talented, smart and one hell of a marketer/business man. John wasn’t some rich kid and he didn’t have access to a lot of a cash to start his business. He had no business training, no marketing training and at the time he didn’t even have a college education. John, at the age of 19 was delivering pizzas for Pizza Hut for $5.00 an hour.

He learned how to succeed in the hypnosis business with NO money, NO advertising capital and not a single ounce of credibility to his name. Within a pretty short amount of time John went from $5.00 an hour to well over $150 per hour and have more clients then he could handle. All of this came through trial and error and a serious passion to spread the word about the power of hypnosis.

So now let me answer the question which was asked earlier which was how do we learn how to become successful Hypnotists? The answer is pretty clear now….we learn from the failures and successes of someone who was exactly where you are and is where you want to be.

The Hypnosis Business Coaching Home Study Course

John and I haven’t known each other long, but in the short time we have known each other we’ve become good friends because of our similar interests. Out of all the things we have in common the one thing above all else is our love for hypnosis and our belief that our profession could be taken to another level if we had more successful full time hypnotist.

It was out of this passion for wanting others to succeed that John along with his partner in crime, Bob Bicknell created The Hypnosis Business Coaching Home Study Course.

This home study course is a combined effort from John and Bob. Bob has over 30 years of experience as a small business entrepreneur and over 15 years in the financial services industry as a Senior Vice President. His studies and teachings for over 20 years in the power of the subconscious, self talk, marketing, law of attraction, peak human performance and spiritual studies has allowed him to reach his own goals as well as many different people and businesses to reach theirs too.

The Hypnosis Business Coaching Home Study Course is a collection of different modules covering a wide range of subjects, hypnosis sessions designed to install the habits and beliefs you need to be successful, PDF resources, audio programs and much, much more. I’ve reviewed a few different courses that claim to teach marketing to Hypnotists, but as of yet I’ve haven’t seen one that comes close to the level of detail, knowledge and resources that this program provides it’s students. Here is a break down of what you get with the Hypnosis Business Coaching Home Study Course:

Modules

The modules are what you would call the main course. Each module is presented to you in an interview fashion where either Bob ask John questions or vice versa. Each module is around an hour or longer and contains very in-depth details and instructions. Here a small breakdown of some of the info included in the modules.

NOTE: I am only providing a few of the things John and Bob cover as the course is so large and comprehensive I would have to turn this post into an e-book to fit it all in. Also, feel free to listen to any of the modules in whatever order you like. There is no specific order, but I do recommend at least listening to the Introduction Module First and then the module on Guerrilla Marketing. After that, feel free to jump in!

Introduction to Hypnosis Business Coaching

This is the shortest of all the modules and is really nothing more then an introduction, but that doesn’t make it any less powerful. This introduction sets up the rest of the course and also allows you to see why John is so passionate about this program.

Guerrilla Marketing

Our of all the modules this would have to be my favorite one because it shows you what you can truly achieve if you just put in a little time and effort. In this module John takes you to the start of it all and tells you his story, walking you step by step the exact same methods, strategies and techniques he used to start spreading the word about himself and his practice. John leaves no stone unturned in this module covering everything from business cards, brochures & how they should look and what they should say to where and how to pass them out. You’ll learn how to put on corporate events and have companies write you some serious checks! Oh…John even shares his secret to finding office space for cheap and sometimes for free.

Press Release Module

This is the most powerful module of them all in my opinion as John shares his biggest secret to success and holds nothing back. Press releases are one of the quickest and cheapest ways to get known as the obvious expert in your area and to attract the attention of major media outlets. Here are just a few of the topics John covers. You’ll discover what a press release is, how to get in every media outlet in your area for free, how to promote your events/seminars, the Biggest mistake people make when doing press releases and the number one thing to avoid and much more.

Social Media Strategies

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while then you know how I preach that Hypnotist need to learn to utilize the internet. It’s one of the most powerful methods of marketing that exist today and if your not using it you’re being left behind. Well John and Bob share my belief on this subject. In this module you’ll learn how to use Social Media and leverage it to market your business. Sites like Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and many other sites are much more then just a place to find lost, forgotten friends. They are a powerful form of marketing and allows your message to be seen by millions of people. Don’t worry if your new to the internet or these sites as John and Bob walk you step by step through every little detail.

Social Networking

I would recommend you listen to this module next as it goes even deeper into the world of Social Media and really helps you to understand the power of relationships when it comes to marketing. How you can network with others in your profession, meet people who can help you and people who you can help. The internet allows us to market ourselves to the entire world instead of just the local yellow pages. Very cool module.

Unlimited Referrals

Referrals are a critical part of running a successful hypnosis practice. You won’t be in business long without referrals and John is an expert at this subject. In addition, this module also discusses a subject which seems to cause a problem for a lot of hypnotists. Working with other professionals such as doctors, therapist and etc. You’ll learn how to get them to send you tons of referrals and thank you for allowing them to send their patients to you. To date I haven’t seen a program that is this in-depth on referrals from clients, strangers and professionals. Honestly, in my opinion John could sell this one module as a separate course as it’s just that good. The amount of detail John goes into is mind blowing to say the least.

Youtube Module

If you aren’t using Youtube right now then what are you waiting for. You’ll learn how to find keywords which will help your videos rank higher, how to optimize your videos, Discover who your audience is, How to create videos without ever being seen, What type of equipment you’ll need to make your life simple, resources and so much more.

Persuasion and Sales Bonus

This is considered a bonus module, but an important one in my opinion. What good are prospects if you can’t turn them into paying clients? This module breaks down everything you need to know about closing the sale and getting them into your office. Personally this course be another course in its own right. Here are just a few of the things you’ll learn. How to avoid the biggest mistake people make on the phone, how to keep possible clients from shopping for prices, how to have your clients save thousands of dollars, the power of open ended questions, how to stay in control during the call, how to get inside your clients head and have them want to give you money, how to build value, the words to avoid when selling the client and much, more more.

Hypnosis Sessions

If the modules weren’t enough for you John has included 14 powerful hypnosis sessions designed to install the beliefs and habits of successful hypnotist directly into your subconscious mind. Here are the 14 different recordings you get with the program:

Abundance Meditation

If the modules and the hypnosis sessions weren’t enough John has included a number of PDF resources for you as well. A few of these are outlines of some of the modules, but others are completely new resources such as the article marketing guide and many more.

Press Release For Hypnotists Audio Program

As I mentioned earlier in this review. Press Releases are very powerful when used correctly and John wants to make sure you become an expert on them and so in addition to everything else he has also included his program called Press Release Power For Hypnotists. This is a complete and separate audio program which features:

The Press Release Power For Hypnotists Mp3 Audio Program

The Crash Course In Selling Hypnosis E-Book

A little while back John wrote a book which was only available for purchase through the National Guild of Hypnotist, but John has decided to include it within this program for you.

As a special bonus gift to everyone who takes advantage of this program John is including his hypnosis script e-book. This is a complete e-book full of scripts to help guide you during your sessions.

In addition to all the material you get above John will also, sometime in the future be releasing additional modules which you will get for free when your a existing customer. Obviously I don’t know what topics they will cover as they haven’t been created yet, but from what John has told me he will continue to release modules which will cover a number of different topics related to building your business and marketing.

There Has Never Been A Program Like This Before

As you can see John and Bob have sparred no expense in bringing you a complete, in depth and comprehension course that will give you all the skills, resources, knowledge and tools you need to be successful as a Hypnotist. As I said earlier it would take me forever to list everything covered in this course as it’s filled with gold! Every successful Hypnotist in our business has used these tactics or a mixture of these methods and techniques at some point in time to become the obvious expert in their area. You can too!

As you listen to the program you can hear the passion in John and Bob’s voice and you can see that this course means everything to them. John truly believes that this program can change the course of Hypnosis forever and guess what….I completely agree. I know that reviews should be a little bias, but I too believe that our profession isn’t living up to what it could be and that’s because most of us are part time or aren’t even practicing and this is a direct result of Hypnotists know be taught how to market their new practice.

There Isn’t Enough Business For All Of Us – Not True!

One of biggest problems I see with our profession is the competition model. Hypnotists tend to act as if they are competing with every other hypnotist in their area. This creates a division between all of us and this way of thinking is completely untrue.

There is more then enough business for everyone. There is an abundance amount of money and clients so stop competing with each other. This way of thinking actually holds you back when you should be moving forward. There is no excuse for you not to be making five or six figures a year putting the strategies and methods in this program to use.

I talked to John a lot during the creation of this course and have seen it evolve into something more then a home study course. I have seen it evolve into a vision for the future of our profession. I personally would like to see this course taught to every future hypnosis student. I know that by exposing yourself to the knowledge in this course you will change your life if you act on the information presented. I have a background in business and marketing and I can speak from my own experience that this course is the real deal.

I have yet to see a course as n-depth as this program and that contains the wisdom from start to finish of one of the most successful hypnotist in the United States today.

Hypnosis Business Coaching Review Conclusion

I can’t promise you’ll be successful using all of the information laid out in this program, but that’s because I can’t see what you do after you listen to this information. All I can say is that the same information in this course has and is being used by the most successful Hypnotists of our time and it would cost you thousands and thousands of dollars to get a hold of this information on your own from different sources. Let’s not even talk about how many hours it would take for you to acquire this knowledge.

I’ve reviewed a lot of programs here on this blog and have read even more in my personal and professional life and this has to be the most powerful program I’ve ever reviewed. I have yet to find any flaws within the program. The audio is clear and sounds good, the resources are professional produced, the information is golden.

This review is already long enough so let me finish with these few words. If you are serious about becoming a practicing hypnotist and want to help the most people you can while making insane amounts of money then you NEED this course. Look at this course as an investment in your life instead of another training program.

Don’t look back at this moment 5 years from now and think, why didn’t I take action. Success can be yours if you truly want it. If you decide for some strange reason that this program isn’t for you then please do me a favor and at least tell others about it. Hopefully John’s vision as well as my own for this program can become a reality….someday.

Also, if forever reason this program isn’t for you I want to ask you something. Even if you decide to not invest in this program I want you to please help John, Bob and me spread the word about this course. If you truly love hypnosis and helping people then do this for us profession. We need more full time, successful hypnotist. If you have a Facebook account please share this with others, if you have a twitter account please tweet it. If you have a NGH Chapter let your members know.

You can make a difference more then you know for our profession. Sometimes it just starts with ONE person taking action. God Bless

If you remember about a month ago John flooded my Hypnosis blog with tons of amazing articles written to help you make a full time living from your hypnosis business.

The feedback I got was amazing and to be honest the information was so good it could have been sold, but John decided to just give it away. Well John is back after taking a much needed vacation with a new article on how to attract business using word of mouth. If you have a hypnosis business or are thinking of starting one then make sure you read this article as I’m sure it will provide you a lot of value and help you to succeed.

John has released an amazing program for Hypnotists who want to take their practice and business to the next level. The Hypnosis Business Coaching Home Study Program will take you by the hand and show you step by step how to build a practice that will easily bring in 5 figures or more. This course covers everything from getting clients, using social media, promoting your company, working with doctors and much more. This program may literally change our profession forever and to my knowledge this program will be something completely new to the hypnosis world and has never been done before.

============================================================

One thing that you commonly hear from established and successful hypnotists is that a great majority of their business comes due to word of mouth. Word of mouth business is one of the easiest ways to get your appointment book filled up but how does one get people spreading the word? This blog will give you a few simple strategies to begin achieving this.

The key to creating word of mouth business is by turning your clients into raving fans. To do this, keep this principle in mind, “Under promise and over deliver.” Always go above and beyond your client’s expectations to ensure their success. If you always follow this principle then you will be always creating raving fans of your work.

Next principle to always stay true to is the idea of “Top of Mind Awareness.” What this principle means is continuing to stay in contact with your clients so that you stay in the forefront of their minds and they continue to think of you long after their sessions are completed. Please understand that I am not implying that you spam your clients or send them tons of information all the time. What I mean by this is making some sort of personal contact with them periodically such as a phone call or personal email to check in on them and see how they are doing in addition to your normal marketing. Personal contact like this keeps you at the top of their mid, lets them know that you care, and opens the door of opportunity for other sessions and/or referrals.

Click Here To Learn More About John’s Hypnosis Business Coaching Home Study Program

Perhaps the best way to create raving fans and steady streams of referral business is to send your client handwritten thank you notes after the session. In the world today everything is electronic and handwriting a thank you note to your clients will separate you from the pack. When you take the time to handwrite a thank you note it conveys love and appreciation to your clients. Trust me if you do this they will remember you forever! Be sure to also include business cards in your thank you note so that your new raving fan can go out and spread the word.

Finally, after a successful session with a client, give them some business cards (always a minimum of 3) and ask them to share them with others who could benefit from a session. When you ask…you receive.

To summarize, in order to generate word of mouth business work on creating raving fans of your work by under promising and over delivering, keep yourself at “top of the mind awareness,” send thank you notes, and ask for referrals. If you follow these principles then you will have a free sales-force of raving fans out there and will keep business flowing in with minimal effort on your part.

Yours Truly In Success,

Isn’t it odd how time just passes by? It’s been a little over 2 years since Sean Michael Andrews came onto the scene with his first 2 disc DVD project titled Instant and Rapid Inductions.

This was one of the first projects released within a decade that actually took the subject of Instant and Rapid Inductions and broke them down into a step by step process in a classroom setting.

If you’ve been a reader of my Hypnosis blog for sometime you know I actually reviewed Sean’s first DVD when it was released. I’ve seen a lot of different trainings and as far as content went it was one of the best I’ve seen on the subject of Instant and Rapid Inductions. I still, to this day recommend it as a great resource for anyone interested in learning hypnosis.

Click Here To Visit The Website For The Instant & Rapid Inductions Second Edition DVD

Now as much as I liked the content you also know I put everything on the table. While the content of Sean’s first DVD was great the production quality wasn’t that good. The sound wasn’t very clear and went out at times as well as lackluster video editing. Still, for Sean Michael Andrews first time out the game I thought it was a pretty decent undertaking and in many ways that released helped to take Sean from being the Street Hypnotist everyone on Youtube was talking about to being an international known hypnotist and trainer.

Sean Michael Andrews Is Back For Round 2 With His Newest Release

After 2 and half years and 6 DVD projects later Sean Michael Andrews is back with a brand new project called Instant and Rapid Inductions Second Edition.

Yup, Sean has taken it back to the beginning, back to the DVD that helped launched his career and decided to upgrade his popular Instant and Rapid Induction Training DVD. Now, let me be upfront and hopefully clear something up for all of you reading. When I say an update I really mean more like….Sean Michael Andrew started over from scratch and rebuilding this project from the foundation up. In reality…..this is a completely new training program, not just an upgrade.

I wanted to clear that up because as I’m sure you know when people usually create a second edition or a 2.0 program they usually keep the main program, but just add a few extra clips or scenes or maybe just add a special bonus or two. This is how most product creators handle product upgrades no matter what the industry or profession. Lucky for us this isn’t the case with Sean’s Instant and Rapid Inductions Second Edition project.

Exactly What Is Instant and Rapid Inductions Second Edition?

This program contains completely new material which comes from a variety of settings such as classroom, office and street. So you not only get to see Sean perform all his inductions and techniques within a classroom setting, but you also get to see him put them to work on the streets and his office. The first project from Sean was filmed entirely in a classroom so you only got to see Sean at work within that setting, but not the second edition.

If you’re into street hypnosis then your going to love this project as it features tons of examples performed live in the streets. If your into more of the traditional office approach Sean also has tons of examples and he also has tons of classroom examples too. In addition, Sean also provides step by step instructions within the different environments as well. So you can see how his approach changes for the different settings. Another big change from his original program is that the second edition is three DVDs instead of two. So your going to get a lot more content and the training won’t feel as rushed as it done with the first edition.

As I mentioned above Sean decided to keep this version much more open and free. It also includes clips from varies locations around the United States and Canada. Wow! Sean has come a long way since his little classroom project. I guess we can now say Sean is an international man of mystery (okay, bad joke!) I guess being a funny man isn’t in my future lol.

You Feel Like Your Getting A Much More Rounded Training

Before I start breaking down the actually product and getting to the meat of this review I feel I have to mention that this hypnosis training feels much more rounded then the first project done by Sean. When you watch the Second Edition you feel like your getting more of a complete training course.

In the past it felt as if it was just a one day class. This isn’t the case with Instant & Rapid Inductions Second Edition. Sean has become a much better teacher from those days and there is a lot more content to consume. Sean also spends more time with the step by step approach which helps to make this project feel as if it’s a weekend course. I still recommend you pick up the first DVD if possible, but if you haven’t I know for fact that you’ll be able to perform an Instant or Rapid Induction by the time you complete this program. (Keep in mind you have to actually watch it so no shortcuts okay?)

Instant & Rapid Inductions Second Edition Production

As most of my readers know when I do a review I like to be through. I can’t stand when people just say a course is good so buy it. If I’m going to spend my hard earned money on something I like to know it’s worth that money. So I always like to talk about the production and design quality in addition to the content the training covers. I know some of you could care less about the production value, but a lot of people do care about this and I’m one of them.

If you bought the first edition of Sean’s training DVD you know that the production on the first project wasn’t very good. It suffered from bad camera work, bad audio and pretty much no editing. The content was great, but the production quality wasn’t that good. I’m not picking on Sean because if the truth be told the majority of hypnosis products have bad video and bad editing.

There Is No Failure, Only Feedback

What I love about Sean is that he never just settles. He is always looking to improve and make every new project better. If you’ve been following his other projects such Amazing Inductions, Inducing The Trance, Deepening The Trance and others you know that the production has got better and better. I remember talking with Sean a few months ago and he told me something I’ve been telling people for years. If your not good at something then find someone who is and then do only the stuff your great at. This is great advice and Sean put his advice to work for him when he connected with and hired Dale Gardner.

I won’t go into Dale’s background, but the guy is a genius when it comes to production, editing and directing. He has done stuff for VH1, MTV and other credible television and movie projects. The moment he started working with Sean you saw an immediate improvement in quality, sound and design. They have got better with each project, but how is the second edition?

Instant and Rapid Inductions Second Edition may be Dale’s best work yet. The DVDs have a professional menu which just blows you away when you insert it into your DVD player. I swear it almost looks like something you would see with 3d glasses. Once you click play an amazing intro begins that far surpasses anything done on previous projects. Dale makes Sean look like a rock star in this brand new intro.

If you click the video below you can check out the intro for yourself and see the type of work Dale does for Sean.

Click Here To Visit The Website For The Instant & Rapid Inductions Second Edition DVD

Overall the video quality is amazing and even the clips when Sean is doing street hypnosis look crystal clear. The sound is great and you can make out everything Sean is saying even when he’s in the middle of a busy crowd or class. In my opinion this is some of his best work yet. Even the cover art is a improvement for Sean as it really illustrates what the DVDs are all about, Instant and Rapid Inductions. If your someone who enjoys good content and good production value you won’t be let down. Now that I got all of that out of the way let’s move on and see what’s awaiting for you in disc 1….

Instant & Rapid Inductions Second Edition Disc 1:

As with previous projects by Sean each disc covers a number of different subjects. All of them which are needed to master instant and rapid inductions. Sean starts this disc by giving a nice overview of what instant and rapid inductions are, why you need to know them, how to use them and why 90 percent of hypnotists are scared to use them.

Sean makes it very clear from the beginning of this disc that his goal isn’t to have you become a carbon copy of him, but to be able to perform these inductions so well that you’ll able to create your own. Sean also goes into detail why Progressive Muscle Relaxation Inductions are just not enough.

Here’s a breakdown of the different subjects Sean Teaches in the first DVD.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that I can’t cover every single thing on the three DVDs. There will be material covered on the DVDs not listed in this review.

The Pre-Talk:

In this section Sean goes into detail about the pre-talk and the important of it when doing hypnosis in general and when doing instant and rapid inductions. Sean actually says something in this disc that caught me off guard and which I don’t agree completely with, but I can see why he does it. Sean doesn’t use the pre-talk to educate the person about hypnosis, but to get them to let you hypnotize them. An interesting statement that could be debated, but Sean does make some interesting points.

In addition, Sean shows you a number of different examples of him performing the pre-talk in different settings and even gives you his exact pre-talk word for word. Sean also covers topics such as working with men and women and how to adjust your approach to fit each one of the sexes as well as the single most important thing you can do to protect yourself and your clients. (I’m not talking about the Bill of Rights either.)

Suggestibility Tests:

After Sean talks about the pre-talk he goes right into talking about different suggestibility test and how they are to be used properly. As Sean says it’s not a test to determine suggestibility, but how well they use their imagination. (Nice language which I may have to steal.) Once again you get tons of examples of Sean in different settings doing a number of different test such as the Arms rising and failing, the spiegel eye roll test, hand clasp, magnetic fingers and more.

Hand Drop Induction:

This is the induction you’ve seen Sean perform on countless Youtube videos as well as other successful Hypnotists such as Tom Nicoli and Cal Banyan. Sean teaches you how to do it step by step and provides you all the tips you need to succeed. This section is also where you’ll learn why they work and how to create an instant induction using the flight or fight system and how to spot your window of opportunity.

If you never knew how to do this induction you’ll know exactly how. You’ll learn where to place your hands, special wording, troubleshooting and safety tips to make sure no one is ever hurt. The one thing I enjoyed the most about this part is that Sean talks about something that I teach which is outcome. Yeah it’s cool that you can do these inductions, but you need to know your outcome before you even begin. Intent and Outcome are so important and Sean explains why.

Ambiguous Touch (Milton Erickson’s Handshake Induction):

If your a fan of Milton Erickson then you’ll love this induction. This is the famous handshake induction used by Milton Erickson which made people scared to shake his hand. Sean demonstrates it step by step with a number of different up close angles. You’ll discover where to place your fingers and what to do when it goes wrong, if it does. Sean actually includes a video clip of a client he couldn’t get the Ambiguous touch to work. See….if big time Hypnotists like Sean mess up

Distraction Filter:

The distraction Filter isn’t an actually induction. It’s a technique to use when working with a client so you can work with that client without them being disturbed by outside influences. Now you may think you know this technique as I taught something similar on my blog, but this goes much further then just noise. Sean uses this for sensation, sound, feelings and more.

Click Here To Visit The Website For The Instant & Rapid Inductions Second Edition DVD

Instant & Rapid Inductions Second Edition Disc 2:

Arm Pull Induction:

This is the other instant induction you’ve seen Sean perform time after time on Youtube videos. As with all the other inductions taught on this DVD you’ll learn step by step how to do it. You’ll see tons and tons of examples of it being performed with different angles. You’ll see every little thing Sean is doing so don’t worry about pausing the DVD.

If you can’t do this induction after Sean breaks it down you don’t need to be hypnotizing anyone. Sorry, but I call it like I see it.

Head Roll Deepener:

You’ll finally look why Sean is always rotating the head of people when he does an induction. The purpose, why it’s done, how it should be done and a number of other deepening techniques are included. This is a pretty in-depth section and Sean covers the finer points as well such as when you should do them, how long, exactly at what point and the ones he personally uses.

Elman Rapid Induction:

Yes, the famous Dave Elman Induction (my favorite). Sean and I are in completely agreement as he also says this is the most powerful rapid induction ever created. You’ll learn why this induction is so powerful and get to see Sean perform in about 4 minutes from start to finish without ever rushing it.

You’ll learn how to study it and the properly way to perform it. Btw, if you’ve been reading it from start to finish your not doing it right. This induction should really be taught in phases and Sean does exactly that. He demo’s each section over and over again going over every little detail. You may, at times get annoyed at how much detail Sean does goes into, but take it for what it’s worth…gold. Its better to go over every detail and get it right then to skip a detail and get it wrong.

You’ll also learn how to troubleshoot the part of the Elman induction that gives most people the biggest amount of trouble…losing the numbers. You’ll learn how to get them to lose the numbers 99 percent of the time and how to transform this induction into an instant induction when needed. You’ll also learn the points of failure so you know how to recognize them and avoid them. In reality this could be an entire course on the Elman induction, but it’s included within this disc. In addition, Sean also goes over information such as hypnotic Amnesia, the use of fractionization and more.

Finger Snap Induction:

This is one of my favorite inductions because it’s so simple and looks so cool that most people would swear its fake. You’ll learn how to do it and once again tons of examples are given within office, class and street settings. I can’t say this enough. Tons and tons of examples are throughout all the DVDs.

Hand Shake Interrupt:

This is one of my favorites as well and if your a fan of Derren Brown you may have seen him use this induction on TV many times. This isn’t the Erickson handshake, but the one made famous by Richard Bandler. You’ll learn how it works, step by step. You’ll see Sean do this step by step and how it even works when the person knows to expect it.

Instant & Rapid Inductions Second Edition Disc 3:

In the final DVD Sean teaches you the stuff you need to know to keep your clients safe as well as information you just need to know if your going to be hypnotizing people in general.

This is a very important to section to watch and please don’t skip it. You’ll learn how to do these inductions safely without bringing harm to your client or yourself. You’ll learn why you should never do falling backward inductions and also get Sean’s personal checklist for safety.

You’ll learn about Unrestricted catalepsy, inappropriate suggestions, false memories and how to remove suggestions properly. You’ll learn what to do when someone doesn’t emerge from hypnosis and how to tell the difference between them being in the Coma State and them just enjoying the feeling of being hypnotized.

In addition, Sean will also go over Negative and Positive Hallucinations, Deepening Techniques, the different signs of Trance and a number of different challenge test. As a bonus you’ll also get to see Sean perform tons of different hypnotic phenomena in the three different settings as well.

Instant & Rapid Inductions Second Edition Review Conclusion

I know this has been a long review, but as you know I like to make sure you get all the details and facts. Now the big question is do you need this training if you own the first one and the answer is yes. Sean gave you a lot of great stuff on the first one and even some stuff on it that he doesn’t cover on the second one, but the new project is more complete. You can tell Sean has improved his teaching style. You get a lot more information in this round and Sean answers many of the questions left unanswered in the first volume in this new one.

You get multiple camera angles, in depth details and tons and tons and tons of examples. Yes, there is no hiding it I am a fan of Sean’s training. I’ve followed him for a really long time and I must admit I wouldn’t be the Hypnotist I am today without Sean’s help. This 3 DVD set is straight to the point and follows through on the promise Sean makes at the beginning. After watching these three DVDs you should have no problem creating and preforming your own instant and rapid inductions. So if you want a tool for your hypnotic toolbox that can stay with you forever then this is a great investment.

In my last few posts, I have discussed some ways to get your phone to start ringing at your office by increasing your exposure to the public, but what happens when it does? Do you convert the caller into a new client or do you make the number one mistake that many hypnotists do on the phone?

In this post, I want to key you in on this mistake on the phone and teach you how you can overcome it to boost your business.

In my experience, when potential clients call my office they typically ask 3 questions. “Do you help people with this problem?” “How many sessions does it take?” “How much does it cost for a session(s)?”

The biggest mistake made by most hypnotists, not properly trained in sales, is giving potential clients direct answers to these questions. What tends to happen when these questions are asked, the ineffective hypnotist will directly answer these questions with something like, “yes I help people do that,” “it will take this number of sessions,” and “I charge this much per session.” As soon as they answer these questions more often than not that ends the phone call and the sale is lost.

Click Here To Learn About John’s Hypnosis Business Coaching Home Study Program

If you want to increase your conversion rate and turn your calls into clients then it is essential that you get your potential clients to open up rather than just answer their questions. In life people make three types of investments; time, energy, and money. Your goal on the phone should be to get your client to invest their time and energy into the call which greatly increases the likelihood of them investing their money in your services.

So how do you get your clients to open up? This is very simple to do if you follow two crucial rules. Rule number one is never answer a caller’s initial questions with direct answers. Rule number two is answer their questions with a question. By answering a question with a question it encourages the client to divulge more information about their situation. This is crucial to getting the caller to open up and invest their time and energy.

Here are a few simple examples of this:

Caller: “Do you help people with weight loss?”
Hypnotist: “Can you please tell me more about your situation so I can best answer you based on your needs?”

Caller: “How many sessions does it take to quit smoking?”
Hypnotist: “Can you tell me more about your habit?”

Caller: “How much do your sessions cost?”
Hypnotist: “What is it that you want to achieve using hypnosis?”

These are 3 very simple examples of answering a question with a question. I would encourage you to think about the common questions you get on the phone and how to respond to a caller in a way that gets them talking rather than giving direct answers. Trust me this will increase your conversion rate significantly.

My goal is to have the caller on the phone for at least 15 minutes for several reasons. First, I want the caller to invest their time and energy. Second, I want to use questions to elicit information about the client so I know what I need to say in order to close the sale. Selling hypnosis is all about selling value. It is impossible to sell value if you know nothing about the person and what’s important to them. Finally, I want to create rapport with the person and demonstrate to them by listening that I really care about them.

This is perhaps the most important reason why I want to get them opening up to me. The ineffective hypnotist in regards to selling, answers the caller directly which leaves them with a cold, distant, and unattached feeling to the hypnotist. By spending time with them on the phone and truly listening, the caller will get a feeling of love and connectedness to you. Consequently, they will feel the most comfortable with you and more often than not will become a new client of yours.

In addition, if the caller just invested 15-20 minutes of their time and invested their energy talking about their problems they are unlikely to want to continue to call other hypnotists and do the same thing over again. Even if they do call another hypnotist, most make the biggest phone mistake, and the caller will end up calling you right back to book sessions with you due to the rapport that was created. They will have an intuitive feeling that you are the right one for the job and this all will happen just because of your willingness to listen to them and get them opening up.

By following this simple phone approach you will notice an increase in your conversion of caller into clients. Take time to develop these skills because there are so many people that need your help. Eliminate this common mistake on the phone and watch as your schedule fills up before your eyes. Many blessings to all and happy hypnotizing.

This one thing is so crucial that without it your business will fail to launch to great heights. The key ingredient to making all of these strategies succeed is inspired action.

Taking action is what makes your dreams become a reality. Being self-employed and responsible for generating my own income from an early age, trust me I can completely relate to all the fears, doubts, and procrastination one can face as they forge ahead to their goals. In this blog, I want to share with you a few powerful thoughts that has helped me plow past those doubts and helped me take action even when faced with fear.

“Fail Forward Fast.” This powerful thought has helped me tremendously over the years. I heard this line on my first ever audio program “Passion, Profit, and Power” by Marshall Sylver and it has stuck with me. At first glance, this saying may appear to be negative, especially to a group of very positive hypnotists, however if you really absorb what this means you will discover that it is a very positive and effective motivator. Many people worry about making things perfect, fear failure, or want to know exactly what to do in order to succeed. Instead of concerning oneself with these things, it is more important to just take action and see what happens. By taking action you will either succeed or get one step closer to what does.

“The Thought Is Always More Overwhelming Than The Task.” I heard this influential thought from my good friend as well as someone I highly respect and admire, Tom Nicoli. I find this statement to carry tremendous power and one that resonates a high level of truth to me. So often our minds want to play tricks on us in order to maintain the status quo and keep us from growing. The mind tends to make tasks, especially new ones, much bigger than what they really are and such a major thing. Once we transcend past the mind, more often than not we discover that the task itself is relatively easy to accomplish. I remember when Tom Nicoli started World Hypnotism Day and introduced the idea of getting mayoral proclamations from cities declaring January 4th World Hypnotism day.

When I heard this idea it was music to my ears. I thought what an awesome way to do something great for the profession as a whole and in the process get some free publicity. However, even though the entire process was broken down for everybody on the WHD website since it was something I never did before my mind started playing its tricks. My initial thought was it was going to be a difficult task to complete and so needless to say I procrastinated on completing it for weeks. Eventually, it was getting closer to the deadline date for this task and since I was committed to doing this I finally took action. In less than 30 minutes, I had my first mayoral proclamation from the city of Pittsburgh.

The thought of this being a big task caused me to procrastinate for weeks instead of just taking action and realizing how easy it really was. I now always replace any negative thoughts about taking action with “the thought is always more overwhelming than the task” and then just do it. This has helped me majorly. Thanks Tom.

“Champions Are Made When Nobody Is Around.” This is what my father would tell me when I was growing up playing sports. He impressed upon me the concept that time spent practicing equaled awesome results on the playing field. This saying of his has inspired me for the majority of my life. It helped me to realize that in sports, it is too late to develop your skills when you are in the game. Game time is when you demonstrate your skills and talents. The same thing is true about our profession. It is too late to learn hypno-skills when a client is in your office. Use your downtime to sharpen your skills so you can be the most effective you can be in your sessions. I recommend using this powerful saying when you are just sitting around. Trust me it will inspire you to get up and take action.

These 3 powerful thoughts have always helped me when I needed to get up and take action. It is my sincere hope that they will inspire you as well. Always remember that action is the key ingredient to success and achieving your dreams. By just doing something you are always moving closer to your goals.

It’s been a very long week and I’m looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I’ve been a little under the weather, but finally starting to get my strength back. So I thought I would take a stab at writing a new blog post so you all have something to read over the weekend.

In the spirit of the upcoming weekend which means a fresh start for us on Monday I decided I wanted to try something new and interesting here on this hypnosis blog. I thought it might be cool to start doing a series on the history of hypnosis. Now I don’t know how many of these post I’ll do so I guess that just depends on the feedback I get from all of you. So the first post in our series on the History of Hypnosis will be about Franz Anton Mesmer.

NOTE: The article below is not meant to teach or tell the entire history of Franz Anton Mesmer, but instead serve as a general history of the life of Franz Anton Mesmer

———————————————————————————-

The name Mesmer might just mean something to you if you’ve been learning about hypnosis. And even if it doesn’t, you’ll probably have used his name at some point without realizing it; we describe people as “mesmerized” when they are totally absorbed in one thing, captivated by it and oblivious to everything else. So who was Mesmer and what did he have to do with hypnosis?

Franz Anton Mesmer – Who Was He?

Until I started looking into hypnosis seriously, I always thought of Mesmer as a rather flamboyant Victorian figure – but in fact he was around much, much earlier, and because of this, I suppose he could be forgiven for some of his idiosyncrasies – you’ll see what I’m talking about shortly! Let’s just say he did his bit to give hypnotism the reputation of having occult overtones and “charlatan” image that we still have to battle against today! So let’s take a quick look at this rather strange but fascinating character, who was perhaps his own worst enemy…

Mesmer was born in 1734 in Germany. He was a good scholar, studying theology and law before taking up medicine at the University of Vienna. Mesmer found himself fascinated by the work and thoughts of Sir Isaac Newton, and he wrote a thesis, inspired by Newton’s theories, suggesting the gravitational pull of the moon and the planets might affect the human body.

He came to believe there was a kind of invisible fluid that ran through space and matter, and that this fluid, or “ether” could be pulled by the gravitational force of the different astronomical bodies. This idea was disparaged by many in later years, yet it’s uncannily close to recent scientific theories about dark matter and string theory, so maybe he wasn’t so crazy after all! At the time, his theories were seen as quite plausible, and worthy of discussion in higher scientific circles.

At the age of 34 he found himself a wealthy widow for a wife. She was 10 years his senior and they set themselves up in grand style, living on a huge estate and enjoying many cultural pursuits. He seemed set for life.

The Start of Animal Magnetism

When he witnessed a Jesuit professor placing a powerful magnet on a woman suffering severe stomach cramps, and saw the cramps quickly fade, he was even more convinced that a gravitational or magnetic pull had a profound effect on human health. He began to use magnets in his own medical practice, convinced they were pushing and pulling the “ether” around the body. Being a bit of a megalomaniac, he would go through theatrical rituals, passing the magnets over and around the patients in melodramatic procedures… Who knows whether he thought these over the top measures were necessary, or whether he realized they made the patients more ready to believe that he was somehow, rather magically “curing” them. Either way, he soon made quite a name for himself.

On one occasion when he bled a patient with leeches (don’t forget, we’re talking about almost 250 years ago – it was normal to bleed almost every patient in this way, for virtually any complaint!) – he noticed that the blood flow increased when he moved close to the patient and slowed when he move away. This convinced Mesmer that he himself was affecting the “tides” in the patient’s body. He believed he was acting as a magnet, and coined the phrase “Animal Magnetism”. He believed everyone had this Animal Magnetism, and that ailments were caused by a patient’s animal magnetism becoming depleted. He dispensed with the use of actual magnets, believing it was the physician who could bring about healing by transmitting their own, abundant animal magnetism to the patient.

How Fame Can Go To Our Heads

He was clearly a charismatic character, and produced a large number of remarkable “cures”. He did have rather a love of the dramatic, and became quite a celebrity, taking his “show” on the road, touring the royal courts of Europe and giving dramatic demonstrations of his “powers”. He loved to dress in deep purple robes, and wave his hands around theatrically, staring deeply into the patient’s eyes and speaking in deep, sonorous tones.

His showmanship and celebrity made him less than popular in medical circles, so Vienna’s medical elite were more than happy to jump at the chance of discrediting him when one particular case went wrong. Ironically, it was initially a rather successful case. A young, blind concert pianist came to him for treatment, hoping to be cured of her psychosomatic blindness. And indeed, she regained her vision under Mesmer’s treatment. However her parents were outraged on two counts.

One, their daughter’s piano playing seemed to deteriorate when she was able to see. And secondly, they received a kind of allowance, a royal pension, which would cease if the girl regained her sight. So they forcibly removed her from Mesmer’s house and insisted that the treatment was stopped. They also allowed rumors to circulate that he may have had an “inappropriate relationship” with the girl, which seems unlikely. Her blindness returned, her piano playing improved, and their quality of life was safe!

The End Of Franz Anton Mesmer…Sort Of

Mesmer took himself off to Paris, somewhat in disgrace, but continued to practice, and continued to court controversy. The scientific and medical establishment may have been right to accuse him of being unable to prove his theories, but they completely missed what was happening. After all, there’s little doubt that he was genuinely successful in a great many cases. What they failed to recognize, partly due to Mesmer’s egotistical and over elaborate rituals, was that he was using psychological techniques, trance induction and hypnotic suggestion, which would later be developed by doctors like James Braid and James Esdaile into what we now understand as hypnosis.

So, we hypnotists today have a lot to both thank and curse Mesmer for. But there’s no getting away from the fact that he makes an interesting interlude in the history of hypnotism!

Once the course is over, the most common question that I get from students is how do I get started without an office space? I am sure this is a question that many new hypnotists have, and possibly established ones too, so I thought I would share an idea to help everyone get started in this business.

It is possible to create a profitable hypnosis business without having an office space or working with clients out of your home. In fact, operating your business from a virtual office is an excellent way to keep your costs down, help others, and still grow a big business. Here is what I suggest implementing if you want to operate your business like this.

One of the most profitable ways to grow your hypnotherapy business and help a lot of people in the process is through group hypnosis. Now I understand that many people have a fear of public speaking and have no intention of getting before large groups of people, and that is ok. What I am suggesting is not doing large groups but conducting private hypnosis house parties at the homes of your clients. There are many businesses like Pampered Chef and Mary Kay that operate their business out of other people’s houses and this method has produced a huge number of people that have created financial prosperity doing this. Hypnosis house parties can produce the same type of success for you. Here are the steps to make this happen.

Click Here To Learn About John Weir’s Hypnosis Business Coaching Home Study Program

Step one is to contact all your friends, family, and potential clients, and inform them that you are now conducting hypnosis house parties to help people create success. Step two is to get the interested people working for you to help the groups grow. To do this, let the interested person know that if they are willing to host the party and can find 5 or more people to sign up then they can get their session(s) for free. Step three is to go to the host’s house and conduct the session(s). Step four is to ask all in attendance for a list of names and contact information of people who they think would be interested in this type of party.

There are so many benefits to implementing this into your business plan. First of all, it eliminates the expenses that come with an office space. Second, it eliminates strangers from coming to your house for sessions. Third, group sessions like this increase your earning potential for your time. Fourth, when you get an interested host, it is like getting a free salesperson for your business. They do all the work spreading the word about the group and getting people there. This is worth its weight in gold because it gets people to learn about you with no effort on your part. Finally, after you do the group, you can build a new lead list by asking the clients for referrals.

Here are a couple of other side notes. The best house parties are the ones that have mass appeal. Consider doing hypnosis house parties for weight management, stress reduction, success/abundance, and past life regression. In my opinion, weight management and past life regression parties are the best because you can make them multi-session programs. Also, be sure to get the investment for the sessions in advance to eliminate the possibility of showing up for the session and not having your minimum number there.

This is just one of the ways to get your hypnosis business growing without an office space. I hope this article has given you a direction to move in and inspired some new creative ideas on how to help others and make some great money in the process.

Is Hypnosis Meant For Every Situation?

The other day I was catching up with an old friend from a long time back, who was raving about Transactional Analysis (TA. He’d just recently trained in it and he didn’t know how deeply involved with hypnosis I am (that’s how old a friend he is!). Every time I mentioned any kind of problem, or even anything about members of my family or friends, out it would come. “Ah!” he’d say knowingly. “They were in parent mode, rather than adult mode you see…” and off he’d go again.

Now I find the theory behind Transactional Analysis as interesting as the next person, maybe more so because I’m fascinated by any approach to human psychology, how our brains work, and anything that tries to explain the human condition. But the problem for me was that he was saying TA was the answer to absolutely everything. No other form of psychology or therapy or philosophy was given the time of day, and would have been regarded as inferior by him anyway. He was so over the top about it that I started to use my “relax and stay calm” anchor to prevent me from actually throwing him out the nearest window! (OK, that’s an exaggeration – but you get the idea!)

Hypnosis Isn’t The Only Game In Town

In my experience it’s a common problem though. Many therapists train in a particular discipline. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy’s particularly popular today and well regarded in medical circles. But there are all sorts of other mind-therapies too, most of them perfectly respectable and extremely useful; Jungian psycho-analysis; Rogerian therapy; NLP; Time Line Therapy; Gestalt therapy; Life Coaching; even Freud’s psychodynamic therapy still has its place… I could go on, and on.

My point is that people who train in each of these therapies often come to the conclusion that their particular therapy is the be all and end all – the answer to everything. But the human race is made up of individuals. What if you go and see a Gestalt therapist, and it just doesn’t seem to work for you? Or maybe you just don’t like the philosophy and approach? You probably just don’t go back. Or if you’re determined to sort something out, maybe you’ll go and find a different therapist.

Personally I think the best therapists I’ve seen in action are those that have trained in several different disciplines and can offer a range of approaches. They should be able to gauge what will most likely work for you, and use a mixture of approaches and techniques tailored to you as an individual. I know there’s still a place for specialists who have trained for years and become real experts in a particular field, to a level that a “Jack of all trades” couldn’t hope to master. And a good all round therapist should be able to recognize when a client could do with that level of specialism and refer them on. That’s what I think anyway. I know there’ll be some of you out there that probably disagree with me on this – hey it’s a free world.

But where does hypnosis fit in with this? Are we hypnotists just as bad, declaring that hypnosis is the way forward for absolutely everyone? Maybe some of us are. I know I’m sometimes guilty of evangelizing about hypnosis to the point of boring the pants off someone if I’m not careful, but the way I see it, there’s one big difference between hypnosis and a lot of the therapy approaches available out there. And that’s the fact that hypnosis isn’t a philosophy or a mode of thought, or an approach to the human condition – IT’S A TOOL.

That’s all. It’s a mighty powerful tool, but it’s still just a tool. And what’s fantastic is that it’s such a versatile tool it can be used to enhance virtually every therapeutic process out there. It can make so many psychotherapies much more powerful, more effective and work so much faster.

Enhancing Other Modalities with Hypnosis

So in a way, maybe I am saying hypnosis is the answer to everything! I firmly believe that if all therapists (dare I say all health professionals?) were trained to use hypnosis effectively, every single form of therapy would be hugely enhanced, to say nothing of much better value for money!

Hey – maybe I’m just as bad as that old friend of mine. Am I annoying you yet? The difference (I hope) is that I’m not saying that hypnosis is better than other forms of therapy. I respect most kinds of therapy on offer out there, and I think there’s a whole army of people doing a great job. I’d just love them all to be able to do it even better with this amazing tool that we call hypnosis. And to be fair, as hypnotists I think we could probably all benefit from some training in some carefully selected psycho-therapeutic approaches, allowing us to offer a deeper level of support and understanding to our clients when it’s appropriate.

So maybe what I’m saying is “Hypnosis – not the answer to everything, but part of the answer to everything!” What do you think? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the subject.

If there was a way to become known in your area as the obvious expert, have an opportunity to sell your products, and generate new clients for free would you be interested? The technique I’m about to share with you is highly effective at achieving all these things and very simple to do yet it is the most underutilized marketing technique in the field. Once you start using this strategy and start reaping the rewards you will wonder what took you so long to implement this into your marketing plan.

The most underutilized marketing technique in hypnosis is giving free public talks to various groups in your area.

In my opinion, giving free public lectures on hypnosis is one of the very best ways to spread the word about your business for several reasons. One of the top reasons why I love this strategy is because it is free. When I first started in this business, money was very tight for me. Giving free lectures gave me a way to increase exposure of my business and get people excited about my services at no cost to me.

Click Here To Find Out More About John Weir’s Hypnosis Business Coaching Program

Besides being free, giving a lecture gives potential clients a chance to get to know you personally. When a person enters into any coaching or therapeutic situation trust, rapport, and comfort are three of the essential feelings that need to be present between hypnotist and client for the best results to be achieved. By presenting free lectures, it gives people an opportunity to interact with you, get a feel for your personality, and realize that you are a regular person, not some Svengali like in the strange movies that depict hypnosis. This personal interaction will do far more for you in regards to generating clients than a website or online video.

Becoming The Obvious Expert

Finally, this strategy immediately begins to solidify you as the obvious expert in your area. This occurs for two reasons. First, public speaking is the biggest fear among people. When you give a lecture to a group you get an instant level of respect and credibility because most people are terrified to give even a minute or two long public talk. Always remember that even the worst public speakers are respected.

Second, people make the assumption that if you are speaking to a group than you must be an expert in your field otherwise you wouldn’t be up there. Besides writing a book, public speaking is the fastest way to be seen as the obvious expert in your field. Now that you know some of the benefits of giving free public lectures, let’s cover how to get started.

The 3 Steps To Giving Public Talks

Step one is to find groups to speak for. Did you know that there are hundreds of local groups in your area such as Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, etc that are desperate for speakers to have at their weekly meetings? These groups are perfect to speak for because they composed of your area’s business leaders, movers and shakers, and people who have large networks of people. To get an opportunity to speak for these groups is very easy. Simply go online and do a search for these various groups in your local area. Next, make a phone call and express your interest in speaking for their group. Finally, once you get them to book you, ask if they know of any other local chapters or groups that would be interested in having you speak for them too. It is easier than you would think to line up a bunch of free lectures this way. So get on the phone and line up some lectures.

Step two is to develop a lecture that is 15-20 minutes long. What I typically do when speaking for these groups is give them a modified pre-talk like the one I would give to a new client at my office. In my talks, I usually spend some time building mental expectancy about what is possible by using hypnosis in one’s life, I dispel the major misconceptions/fears, and if time permits I do group activities to demonstrate the power of the mind. If you follow your pre-talk format then it should be very easy to create a 15 minute lecture.

Step three is to promote your services. This is where you can make your free talk into a profitable 15 minutes. An interesting thing that happens at live lectures and seminars is people get emotional hooked, and want to take immediate action on what is being offered. Once I get everyone excited about hypnosis then I do a quick plug for my services. I offer discounted sessions for anybody who books afterwards as well as discounts on my products. These talks have always been very profitable for me. I usually walk out with $150-$200+ in product sales and these lectures have always generated new clients.

Giving free public talks on hypnosis is one of the easiest and most effective ways to generate new business, and become known as the obvious expert in your area. Trust me this method works. Put it to the test yourself because I know you will love the results.

With technology making it easier than ever before to access the internet, the vast majority of people now turn to the net when seeking out a professional, like a certified hypnotist. Since this is now the case, it is more important than ever to consistently increase your visibility online so that you can attract people to your website and more importantly to your office. Here are a couple simple and free things that you can do to increase your online visibility.

The most basic way to increase your online visibility is to have your own professional website. If you don’t have a website yet, I would strongly suggest making it a top priority to get one up as soon as possible. It is easier than ever to create a website and open your virtual storefront online. Step one is to go get a domain name. To do this visit a website like godaddy.com and start searching for a good website name. Step two is to build the website. Since a website is so important to your business, I suggest getting one professionally done. However, if you don’t have the funds available then you can make one yourself for free.

Click Here To Find Out About John’s Hypnosis Business Coaching Program

There are many free website creators available online but I would suggest weebly.com because it is a very simple program to use.

Another easy thing to do that will increase your visibility online is to join as many social networks as you can, such as facebook and twitter. By creating profiles on social networks like these, it is like creating mini-websites for your business all over the net. Social networks are free to join yet the potential is unlimited in the amount of business it can create. A couple simple tips you can do to maximize your social network pages is to always list your website, add captions to pictures that are related to your business, and consistently add content. All of these things can help boost your search engine optimization, or your ability to be found on general searches like Google.

Finally here is something that is new, free, and can benefit every hypnotist immediately increase their visibility online. Recently, a new directory was created that is designed specifically for hypnotists, life-coaches, and NLP practitioners to help them get the word out about their services. Many of the top hypnotists have already signed up for a directory listing because it is free to join and it boosts online exposure. This is definitely something you should look into. For a free listing on this Hypnotist Professionals Directory click this link http://bit.ly/hypnodirectory.

Always remember that the golden rule of marketing is more exposure equals more business. Be sure to take daily steps to increase your visibility on the internet and watch your business take off. People need your help but they first must be able to find you. Do something great for your business right now. Take a few minutes and follow through with one of these steps or one that you have been putting off. Trust me your business will thank you for it.

Weight loss. The two words that either strike fear or bring joy to the hearts of hypnotists.

For some hypnotists weight loss is a wonderful opportunity. A weight loss client often comes in for multiple sessions over the long term, has clearly measurable results, and is a veritable walking billboard for you as a hypnotist, as all her friends and family ask her how she dropped the 50 pounds. A single success can be worth thousands of dollars in additional business.

For others weight loss presents a massive challenge. Either it’s because they find themselves overweight and so can’t seem to get the client to change, or they don’t have a concrete plan. Weight loss is often a complex issue with many factors involved, and nailing all of them can often be quite a challenge.

In this article I’m going to speak about weight loss in the context of my overall therapeutic approach, and I’ll be giving you some very clear and concrete suggestions on how to develop a program with weight loss clients. If you yourself have weight issues, you might find yourself applying these ideas to your own problem and dropping some excess baggage yourself!

The main challenge that I faced as a beginning hypnotist and therapist was the issue of context. Many times I conducted the ‘perfect session’ in the therapy room, yet later my clients would come back complaining that the change didn’t stick, or that in ‘real life’ there was no change. I quickly leaned that ‘real life’ and the therapy room were two different worlds, and the issues the client presented in the therapy room weren’t the actual issues the client was facing. Consciously they thought one thing, but reality was not like that.

To solve this, I developed a whole host of ways to bring ‘real life’ to the therapy room and have the symptoms join us right then and there so we could work on the real issues. The method that I find most effective is tasking.

When I task a client, I give them something to do in real life that I think will provoke the problem. When the client comes back the next week and tells me what went wrong, we can then work on that and make some very real progress. This makes sure that what we work on isn’t only something the client thinks is the problem, it is an actual block to their success. And so for example, when my social anxiety client reported back that he couldn’t complete his task of going over to one person per day and saying “hi”, I asked him what stopped him. We discovered that he had this voice that told him “stop!”. Once we worked with the voice, his main problem was resolved.

Once you have this concept down clearly, you quickly realize that weight loss clients are very simple to work with. Instead of trying to analyze and figure out what is wrong in the therapy room, I give the client my very very simple “Think Thin Get Slim” plan to follow and send them out into the real world. The program includes a simple eating system, a belief change element which I usually do in the live session, and a very powerful process I developed called ABTC that works directly with the subconscious to instantly change emotions, cravings, and automatic thoughts. It also includes a self-hypnosis cd that reinforces the program and the changes made.

I then have the client keep track of what they experience when they find themselves having difficulty following the plan. Once I have that information, I work on that issue and send them out again. I once again have them notice any roadblocks, and in the next session we resolve those too.

Very often as the client drops more and more weight, different issues arise. It’s almost as if every layer of fat has its own reason for being there and its own story to tell. As the previous layer comes off, the next one gets its chance.

When I work on weight loss with this approach, my clients don’t gain the weight back. That’s because instead of simply pumping the client with motivation and suggestions, doing some age regressions and parts, and peeling the pounds off, we have worked through the real issues that the layers of fat have been hiding.

My starting schedule with weight loss clients goes as follows:

-Session one.

-One week break.

-Session Two.

-Two week break.

-Session Three.

-Three week break.

-Session Four.

-One month break.

-Session Five.

In this way, I see the client 5 times over a two and a half month period. That gives us plenty of time to work through whatever comes up and set the client on a smooth path going forward. The schedule is obviously flexible according to the needs of the individual client. If a client is having trouble, I will pack the sessions closer together. I use the above schedule as a general guideline.

And so to you the hypnotist who feels fear when you hear the words “Weight Loss” , know that those sorry days are over! Simply develop a comprehensive weight loss program that gives the client a clear set of tasks to follow, and then troubleshoot from there!
