Uri Geller, Michael Jackson & Hypnosis
I was checking out Cal Banyan’s blog today and he had posted a really interesting story that has popped up in the media recently involving Michael Jackson and Hypnotism.
Uri Geller, who some of you may know from his claims of being able to bend spoons with his mind claims he hypnotized Michael Jackson under false pretenses to learn the truth about his previous court cases.
Uri, who was at one point a friend of Michael’s claimed he needed to know the truth about the court cases and hypnotized Michael one day to learn the truth about those cases. Michael believed the hypnosis session was for something else. Before I go any further please check out the two resources below so you can see and read for yourself.

First off, please don’t believe what Uri claims at all! Hypnosis isn’t a truth serum and can’t make you tell the truth. The simple fact is you are fully aware of what happens during hypnosis and if you want to lie in hypnosis you can. Just because you say something in hypnosis doesn’t mean it’s automatically true.
Now, I’m not saying that Michael Jackson was lying about not being guilty. Please don’t misunderstand what I’m saying here. I personally believe Michael was innocent , but as far as Uri claiming since Michael said he wasn’t guilty under hypnosis that makes it 100 percent truth is just not the case.
You are fully aware of what happens during hypnosis and I can assure you Michael knew what Uri was asking him, if this event happened. Uri doesn’t carry a lot of credibility with me, but that is another story all together.
Either way, I found the story interesting and thought I would share it with my readers. While I hate when misinformation is spread about hypnosis. I look at it as a chance to educate my readers and the general public. Thanks to my friends over at CalBanyan.com for bringing this story to my attention.

It’s pretty obvious that Uri is trying to use Micheal’s death as a way to call attention to himself. He’s trying to direct the media coverage to himself so he can capitalize on a major event in the news that is getting worldwide attention.
Pretty sleazy if you ask me.

Yeh the words Uri Geller and truth don’t usually go hand in hand! He spent years pretending that he had psychic powers, when in truth he was doing traditional magic tricks. Fair play to him, he probably made quite a few quid, and provided some decent entertainment for many. However he took it too far IMHO when using his ‘powers’ to help out authorities with things such as murder cases.
I think Uri was partly trying to help his friend by showing ‘proof’ that he was innocent. However he didn’t do his research, so has made himself look a bit foolish. And yes, Uri does know how to manipulate the media, so I don’t think it would be totally lost on him the fact that he is linking himself to some major news.
