Yeh the words Uri Geller and truth don't usually go hand in hand! He spent years pretending that he had psychic powers, when in truth he was doing traditional magic tricks. Fair play to him, he probably made quite a few quid, and provided some decent entertainment for many. However he took it too far IMHO when using his 'powers' to help out authorities with things such as murder cases.

I think Uri was partly trying to help his friend by showing 'proof' that he was innocent. However he didn't do his research, so has made himself look a bit foolish. And yes, Uri does know how to manipulate the media, so I don't think it would be totally lost on him the fact that he is linking himself to some major news.

It's pretty obvious that Uri is trying to use Micheal's death as a way to call attention to himself. He's trying to direct the media coverage to himself so he can capitalize on a major event in the news that is getting worldwide attention.

Pretty sleazy if you ask me.
